immigration

We are a full service immigration law office. Our immigration practice emphasizes finding legal remedies for difficult cases. We routinely and successfully represent clients who wish to become lawful permanent residents but have overstayed and are consequently out of status, those who have sustained misdemeanor or felony convictions and those who are in
removal/deportation proceedings.

  • If you are an alien who is seeking to naturalize, adjust your status, has overstayed, has a criminal conviction, is in B.C.I.S. removal/deportation or criminal court proceedings, then you should retain an attorney who is competent to practice in both the criminal and immigration courts. • The Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Service (B.C.I.S.) formally known as the Immigration and Naturalization Service (I.N.S.) now is using newly enacted laws to make it more difficult for aliens to come into the U.S. while making it much easier to deport aliens who are already here. This situation has placed many in jeopardy of losing their permanent residency.

We aggressively defend those in removal/deportation proceedings with all forms of available relief. Those forms of relief include, but are not limited to, elimination of the immigration consequences for criminal convictions, cancellation of removal, use of various waivers of excludability, inadmissibility and deportability, filing for adjustment of status to lawful permanent residency, filing applications for asylum, withholding of deportation or for protections under the Convention Against Torture (C.A.T.) As an Immigration Attorney and Criminal Defense Lawyer who has been practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1980, I emphasize obtaining adjustments of status to lawful permanent residency (‘Green Cards’) and naturalizations (U.S. Citizenship). I also place special emphasis as a legal expert, in the obtaining of post conviction relief (Motions to Vacate (eliminate), Modify and/or to Dismiss) in the California State criminal courts for those non-citizens who have convictions that make them inadmissible, deportable or removable from the U.S.
